Goblin’s Brew: Ditch the Hot Chocolate, Embrace the Magic!

As the days grow shorter and the nights grow colder, there’s nothing quite like a warm and comforting beverage to soothe the goblin soul. This Goblin’s Brew, inspired by the tranquil beauty of a cold autumn evening, is my go-to brew for those chilly nights. The creamy texture, the subtle sweetness of matcha, and the warmth of cinnamon and ginger create a truly magical elixir that nourishes both body and spirit. So, gather ’round the campfire, dear friends, and let’s raise a mug to the enchanting season!

How to make Goblin’s Brew

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk (or your preferred dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (or
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • Honey to taste
  • Pinch of ground cardamom (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (enhances the sweetness and balances the flavors)
  • Marshmallows or whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.

2. Whisk in the white chocolate chips and matcha powder until smooth and melted.

3. Reduce heat to low and stir in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom (if using).

4. Continue stirring until the mixture is heated through and well combined.

5. Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

6. Strain the hot chocolate through a fine mesh strainer to remove any lumps.

7. Stir in honey to taste.

8. Pour into mugs and top with marshmallows or whipped cream, if desired.

Goblin Tips:

  • For a richer and more decadent texture, use whole milk or cream instead of milk alternatives.
  • If you don’t have white chocolate chips, you can use white chocolate shavings or even a pinch of white chocolate powder.
  • Adjust the amount of matcha powder to your taste preference. Start with a smaller amount and gradually add more if needed.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based milk and vegan white chocolate.
  • Experiment with different spices and flavorings to create your own unique goblin brew.

Enjoy this enchanting elixir and embrace the magical spirit of the goblin season! Don’t forget to share your enchanting creations on social media using #GoblinBrew.  Cheers to cozy nights and goblin delights!
